Stoke aren't even that good
And that's the scary thing. They sit top of the Championship tonight, and they're nothing special. They're just solid, consistent, with a Ricardo Fuller, a class act at this level, up front. And that's it. Shawcross has scored a lot of goals, but this just shows that Stoke are good at set pieces, something we used to be good at when Malky played for us.
If we were as consistent as Stoke, and more solid defensively, we'd be promotion material this season. That's all it takes. The division has never been more open (or poor, relative to the Premiership).
