Well, our unbeaten run has come to an end and in spectacularly bad fashion in front of our biggest travelling support of the season. Hopefully, it will turn out to be another Home Park watershed type match where both the players and manager learn something from it and move on.
Roeder has to learn that selecting players out of position is more often than not going to end badly. We had enough of that with Worthington and Grant thank you very much.
Many are understandably perplexed by the absence of Huckerby. Some suggest it is because Roeder is obliged to find room for his loanees, other believe it is because he has an issue with Huckerby. The truth is probably somewhere between the two.
The home match against Barnsley represents an ideal opportunity to get back to winning ways. The problem is we will have to do it without Russell, Fozzy and Dion.
