Most progamblers dont "get it wrong" very often.

Betting value and losing is fine.

As an example, if we flipped a fair random coin and I pay you 1 pound if it lands heads and you pay me 1 pound and 1 penny if it lands tails

If it lands heads 3 straight times, I didnt make a bad bet.

I had an edge, thats ALL you can do as a progambler.
Get your money in as a money favorite.

Make enough good bets and your edge is certain to show up over the long term.
Its pure math.
