Great Tits
Blue Tits
Coal Tits (only right since the coal board built our house)
Wrens
Blackbirds
Thrushes
Magpies (s**tters)
Doves
Wood pigeons
Goldfinches
Chaffinches
Ravens (rarely, and remember, a rook on his own is a raven, not a rook, and if I had a pallid bust of pallas, above my chamber door, I'd encourage him to sit on it)
Pied-wagtails
Sparrows (not so much any more)
Robins
We hear owls, but have never seen one
And once, when we were flooded, a f**king great big common carp

In fact it was only yesterday as I lay in the bath soaking my aching muscles that I thought "Fuck me the birds outside are making a right racket, must be that time of year".
