I totally agree, my nagging doubts over getting promoted,

have just got louder.
The top level game is changing rapidly and fans are beginning to lose interest in clubs below the top 7/8.

Its my belief that will only get worse and in around 10 years time the championship will be the home of the football fan in this country, the real fan.
At least I hope so.
There was a time when being a football fan was about hope and being part of something.
Its now about expectation, instant results, and money and I feel i'm losing the game I love, so much I can see a time when I'll walk away from it.
I don't support city to see them owned by some billionaire from Taiwan, sitting in the top four, expected to win things and cry like a scouser/geordie when we don't.
I support city to watch good football, in a decent crowd and have a team that's often got a shot of doing something due to good management and a location that, when we get players here, makes guys fall in love with the place, want to stay, and gives them a passion for the club to mirror ours and is seen on the pitch.
Times change yes, but its NOT always for the better.
