I had a good win on a scratch card once

I won £200 on a scratch card. It more than ten years ago. I hadn’t bought one before that for ages, just went into the newsagents near where I used to work to buy a drink and got the urge to buy one.

And they weren’t allowed to pay me out either as the payout was too big for them, so I had to go into my local Sainsbury’s. And all the shop assistants crowded round to have a look, this created attention as other shoppers crowded round as well, so everyone saw that I was being handed £200 in cash.

And that was the last scratch card I have bought. Thought I’d quit while I was ahead.
