Am I leaving myself open to abuse when

I ask if we really need Taylor?

He is wrong side of 28
He will cost at least 750k to buy
He will require big wages
Our current defence (minus Taylor) is the second best in the league (conceded 4 gls in the last 8 games, only 8 in the last 12).

Is he really better than what we currently have?
Or did he only look better because of the s**te we had been playing for 8 weeks?
