I remember Jarvis 03/04 coming on at Bramall lane and just doing his concorde impression
like he did on his debut at Wolves, ie, just getting the ball and running with it into about 5 players who'd just think "one of us will stick our foot out and counter", and he'd get a clap for it
That got translated as potential. I remember just watching it, then looking over to players like Iwan and a certain mr Hammond who's faces were just screwed up, probably thinking "cheers for that Ryan, we'll just stand in the box in good positions whilst you aim for row P"
How he's been here since the 02/03 season I'll never know
In the midst of stories like Murrays and Brelliers etc, have a think further back to Worthington and his cushy contract hand outs that really were financially and damning to football and where we're at now
