Personally I think Roeder's got the right idea...

...no point spending over the odds in a window that was initially set up to stop panic buying but has proved to do the opposite - often with ridiculous fees being paid for average players (Norris is definitely not worth £2.4m for example, a top-half Championship player at best).

Getting some kids in on loan should provide a kick up the arse to the kids we've currently got on our books - in that it must now be obvious they've got to shape up to be included in Roeder's long-term plans.

It's good to establish some links with clubs in the Premiership, something Grant talked the talk about but never followed through with actual signings - if we can help their players get match practice etc. then they're hopefully more likely to help us in return in future dealings.

Also, if the loanees do bed in, perform and enjoy their time at Norwich who's to say that we might not be able to convert them into permanent signings? I'm hopeful Ched Evans could be one of these - if Man. City get themselves a proven striker or two in the summer and Sturridge continues to impress then it leaves Evans behind in the pecking order. Why not move to a club where you've been playing week in week out and know inside out?

It'll be an interesting summer for us I think, I'm expecting a lot of movement into the club.
