More news in: Britney Spears was apparently admitted to hospital after friends and emergency services became concerned for her after she was earlier seen getting out of her car, stumbling into the woods and talking to the trees in her bizarre British accent. You couldn't make this stuff up...

At the hospital, it is reported that her parents are now arguing with Britney's 'manager', Sam Lufti, as they have been denied the right to make medical decisions on behalf of their daughter.

According to TMZ, when she was admitted into hospital earlier this month, Britney made her lawyers draft paperwork so that Jamie and Lynne Spears (yes, they really did give their second daughter a name each) couldn't act on their daughter's behalf.

Her father, Jamie, is now apparently blaming Sam for his daughter's demise.

Despite all the commotion, Britney is apparently remaining calm and has even been allowed out for a cigarette. It's not been reported whether or not she had a conversation with it...
