Something that made me laugh today

It was reported on the radio this morning that Bush has decided to give every American family (in work) $600 to spend as they like.. The presenter asked the audience for interesting ways to spend the £300 equivalent here in the UK. A scouser E-mailed in to say that he had been looking at a chair for his mother-in-law for some time, and he could get it for £300.
Unfortunately he would be in a quandary because of the soaring cost of electricity, whether to actually switch it on....
