The focus is surely all wrong here

There's so much potential for messing around and confusion with the buy-a-player scheme. Would it not be better to donate that fiver a month to the academy, get some world class coaches and scouts in, and do it that way?
No quick fix, but if we ended up being the Arsenal (or even Manchester City, what with Evans, Etuhu, Ireland etc) of the Championship, then that would do me.
