Now, I have known about this for a while, so have had a chance to digest it...
...the reaction is pretty much what I had discussed with CarrowRoader.
As to my opinion, there is something which bothers me. As much as I love Norwich City Football Club, they are a business, and (theoretically) a profit-making business.
If what would make the biggest difference is 60 quid a head more from 25% of the fan base (or as CarrowRoader suggests, even 25% of the Carrow Road faithful), then isn't that the job of the Norwich City employees to attract ? Doesn't it suggest a less-than-perfect business model ? Or unrealistic plans ?
Additionally, I am struggling with the ethics of suggesting that TWO THOUSAND people on average or lower salary (and certainly not much more) donating ten quid a month while they may be in debt or struggling to balance their own books, so that we can offer a second division level footballer 20,000 pounds a week instead of 15,000.
