We've talked about this type of investment before both with City and general
charities, i.e a penny off people's pay packets each week for worthwhile causes.
I think most City supporters would happily give £5 to a transfer kitty as long as they have a say in who is pruchased, I wouldn't want my money funding another Brellier, Murray, Brown, Striker, Lapin, etc.
The other view is this type of publicity "might" just kick the current board or new investor into action to avoid any embarrassment, but I agree It's a modern version of throwing coins into a blanket.
..and on a final note, if the miserable fcuker who sits in front of me puts anything in I'll double it!
