I'm gonna kick myself for being caught by all this, but is it possible that the Wed news
might be that our friend Mr. Cullum has decided to list his companies ?
From Wikipedia: "In May 2007 it was reported that the Towergate Partnership might list on the London Stock Exchange with a market capitalisation of around £3 billion, which would value Cullum's 65% stake at nearly £2 billion."
Not sure the current climate is perfect for that, but it would open up liquid funds for investment in the club - therefore the hint of it being in the EDP and not a club announcement.
