Tamils are going nuts, rumour is rife the country will come to a standstill. The headline story in today's paper was all about quelling the rumours and that people shouldn't panic about the terrorism.

We saw an elephant with three legs - a bomb got his other one. We had to have armed people get us out the hotel as we were staying near the Pres's house - they kept closing the roads and you couldn't walk about.

I'm going for a swim in the hot sea now.
