Loan Snub
I know we are justifiably curious as to who it was that snubbed us but the bottom line is that we dodged a bullet. He has turned down a few other clubs and obviously has the wrong attitude.
Pattison, Camara, Taylor and Evans needed all of two seconds to decide that they wanted to come here so the alarm bells would have rung for me that he needed 24 hours to slep on it.
As for the Simon Cullum rumour that has surfaced again I just don't see it. All the details about the guy's background are spot on and he would be the ideal candidate to take over.
Its the word take over that is the sticking point. I have long felt that, despite protestations to the opposite, Delia and co are not open to the kind of outside investement that would mean relinquishing control of the club. Anyone coming and investing the kind of money that it would require to get us back into the Prem would be mad to do it for less than complete control.
That is why this asset rich club has not attracted any serious bids.
