OG re ipod, I use itunes for both mine and the missus' Ipod, easiest way is to set up a playlist for each (e.g my playlist / their playlist) and get each ipod to sync that playlist only rather than the whole library. It's also an easier way to pick and choose what music to share / keep seperate...its saved me from having to have any erasure on my ipod most importantly
