FAO Old Git

Millwall, Wycombe, Chesterfield, Watford (twice), Sunderland, Sheffield United (twice), Wolves, Bolton, Crystal Palace, Oldham, Luton, Sheffield Wednesday. Every one of these clubs have reached the FA Cup semi-finals since we last did - and that's before I even mention the League Cup. FFS, bloody Wycombe have made two major semi-finals in the last seven years!

But I bet none of these clubs started out thinking they could win it - so why bother? This competition used to mean something - and if it doesn't any more, it's because of the pathetic, half arsed attitude of clubs like our own. In the last thirteen seasons, we have won 5 FA Cup ties: five! That's fewer than the triumphant side has to win in one season! And if you don't mind, I'd rather like to see Norwich reach the Cup Final before I shuffle off this mortal coil - but we won't, if we keep treating the tournament with such appalling disdain.
