He's an American sports journalist with no football knowledge

He got tired with covering American sports, the endless slew of cliches when interviewing players, etc. He wanted to try and re-capture what it's like to be a fan, so he moved to England and went to a load of games before settling on Pompey. He then followed them home and away all last season.
