the police can not deal with anyone for standing as it isn't against the law. It is however against safety guldelines of the club, so they made the decision. Sorry, I say they, I actually mean the power-tripping-head-steward made the decision (although two police officers did escort the ejected fan all the way to the station to make sure he did not try to re-enter the ground, not such a good use of public resources!)
