Hertford is a very nice town. good pubs , lots of birds. I lived there for a short time.
It is a reasonable drive down the A10 to Cheshunt. Not too far. Would take 30-40 mins depending on traffic but i suggest you try it one weekday before commiting. Thats what i normally do. Get up early head for the place of intended residence. then wait till 8am - drive to work - see what happens. get it ?
