Really?

One of the more predictable political assassinations this one - very public shows of moderation in extremely volatile countries don't exactly go down well with these narky terror-type chaps. I'm afraid there was a bullet with her name on it the minute she decided to give up the whist drives for something a little more adventurous.

I'm not 'scared' (why the f**k should I be scared?) and not in the least bit surprised either. Mushareff, Sharif, Bhutto... none of them have the answer, alive or dead, and it won't make a blind bit of difference to the state of the nation whoever wins the election.

Fundamentalism was not going to be 'cured' in Pakistan next month.
