But as far as I am aware, once it is said or written and in the public domain, it must be fair game for Archant, or anyone, to use the quote.
I know of an instance of someone who said something to an Archant journalist, post match in the heat of the moment, regretted what he had said, tried to retract it but was told by them that "It was their quote now, you've said it" (or words to that effect).
