Worried
Very worried that all the good work done over the last few weeks will be undone over the christmas period with Shackell and Doherty at the heart of the defence. When these two are at the back the whole defence is on edge. Having been so close to the action in the away end I have to say I think Shackell is the real problem. He got bullied by Clive Platt all day long yesterday.
3 times in the first half the whole away end could hear Marshall clearly call for the ball and Shackell ignored it and took it out of his hands.
I think that Shackell is no more than a 2nd divsion player and I believe Roeder agrees hence the removal of him as captain etc.
MArshall in goal also worries me a bit as he very rarely comes for crosses which means Doc and Shackell drop deeper and deeper. I think Marshall is a good shot stopper but we paid way over the top for him. 1 million is a massive fee for a keeper and there are keepers out there who are just as good as him who we could have picked up for much less. I guess this is just another example of Grant being a very poor manager.
Anyway at least we got a point out of a game we would have lost a few weeks ago and we must do at least the same next week.
