OK here goes.

You'll all be aware of 'Fairytale of New York', the Yuletide hit by popular beat combo The Pogues and Kirsty McCall ? And that the lyrics allude to the 'boys of the NYPD choir still singing Galway Bay' ?

Well in the video, there is indeed footage of a choir / marching band. Problem is, despite being asked to learn the song, they didn't. The coaches bringing them to the video shoot were late, and therefore there wasn't enough time to teach them.

Therefore the video director had to film them singing something else. And the only song they could come up with a short notice that everyone knew, and therefore the song that they are actually singing on the video ???????
