Ah, I don't have Sky+, but I guess it's the same idea.

I have a DVD recorder between the Sky box and the TV, so the SCART output of the Sky box connects to the SCART input of the DVD recorder, and then the DVD recorder goes to the telly.

I then use the Sky guide and Auto View thing to get the Sky box to turn to the appropriate channel at the appropriate time, and get the DVD recorder to start recording on the Sky channel at the right time, and bingo.

The only bugger is if the Sky output freezes like it sometimes does in very bad weather. That happened when I recorded the away game at Spurs - the picture froze after about ten mins, but I still had the commentary over the frozen picture.

I guess if you had a DVD recorder you could use the same configuration to "transfer" from Sky+ to DVD, but you'd get the flexibility of doing it whenever you like.
