Trouble is that

while her name appears to be easy to pronounce (i.e. "Marteen"), you have to actually prounce the "e". English people then tend to pronounce it as the highly chav "Martina", which is also wrong. It's more like Marteenuh. Anyway, once I'd got the bloke managing to say that we moved on to her second name, "Helene". Same problem again - instead of "elenne" it is more He-lay-nuh.

And then, after it all, they pronounced us Mr. and Mrs. Griffith. Which was the name of the couple the wedding before us.
