Morecambe winger Garry Thompson on goalkeeper Joe Lewis.
( Matt, England)
"His looks have taken a bit of a battering this season. When he came here he looked a bit like a pop star but now he is looking like Sloth from the Goonies, if that's not too cruel on Sloth."
Off 606

He commands the box excellently and his reflexes are top notch. His catching is strong and he seems fearless if a bit injury prone.

I couldnt agree more with both rickyfaz and curtismc.
Unusually for kids, when they appear as mascots on match days more and more of them want to go out with Joe (instead of just the strikers). He has also been inspiritional for some of the local youth teams (14/16 yr olds) again instead of all of them wanting to score goals they now want to save them. At 6'6" he has a standing reach of around 8'. Normally when faced with a corner the entire stadium is anticipating a chance of goal, with Joe stood there the opposition may as well just give him the ball. He is def going to be a big name in the future.
