There's also the fact
that in theory, if his suspension was to be dropped and he ended up getting the winner next week (with Saints surviving), the F.A would have anarchy on its hands. Appeals are seldom successful. In fact, i can't think of one which has actually won. Even Drogba's dismissal in Europe was upheld, even though I thought it was well harsh. Guess that was UEFA though.
