Am I alone in thinking the current Post Office ads ill judged
The Bill Oddie one that's just been on at the break in the Championship features a manager who is basically quite unpleasant to his staff - if he's like that in public, what's he like behind closed doors? We know all about heavy handed management in the PO in Watford - huge problems at the sorting office after the recent strikes.
As for the tag line of the "people's Post Office" it is both dated (with it's associations of the first term of the Bair government) and quite insulting at a time when many post offices are being closed.
Rant over.
