i think if Roeder had been appointed last year instead of Grant
(ignoring the fact that he'd never have left Newcastle to become our manager...) there is no way in the world the fans would have united behind him in the way they seem to be beginning to, bizarrely i think that the one good thing that may come out of Grant's reign as manager (eventually) is the reuniting of the fans behind his successor, because you need to see the dross in order to have something to compare the better things in life to
