You are quite right about vulnerability, but at the moment...

they are busy engaging themselves in blowing up Iraqis (not their fault, the politicians'..although I suppose they must gain some satisfaction from killing people or they wouldn't join the army).

To ge to the point, we could have had a defensive force of 30 blind nuns and still repelled the Iraqi 'threat'.
