ABC's website has the date 08/02/07 as the air date for the next episode.

I found a Lost fansite with interviews from Hurley about episodes 1-8 thing.

That site also reports that the writers on Lost do get paid for internet views and apparently they have a deal which is very similar to what the writers association of American are after. Still, if they don't sort this s**t out all of these programs will be f**ked.

Another thing, they have had to postpone episodes of Lost in America before because of bad weather on Hawaii. It wouldn't surprise me if the next series is stretched out for bloody ages.
