For me it's not their footballing ability...

that's the real problem, it's the lack of character in the squad. Apart from Dion, and maybe Hucks when he's not in a strop, there doesn't seem to be anyone else who will inspire and lead from the front. If Roeder can get a few guys in who can do this, then I think the other players will improve around them.
