I think I'm just disillusioned with professional football in general, really.

We've been bad before - never this bad, quite, but very bad - and I never once lost interest or stopped loving the club in the way I have recently.

I think that's because the overall structure of the professional game just doesn't appeal to me any more. For Norwich to have any chance of any level of 'success', we'd most likely have to sell the club's soul to some foreign plutocrat, with no connection to the club or its community at all.

As a well-run club with a good domestic manager and a reasonable crop of home-grown players, the best we could hope for is the level Reading have achieved, ansd that's taken them years, and looks very precarious after only one decent season. And I can't see us getting a set-up together that works that well anyway.

So I'd rather watch non-League and 'alternative' football, really. At least then you're watching people who care, and who aren't really affected by the pursuit of a success that isn't really plausible in Murdoch-era football.

Come on Horsham! (And Norwich, deep down) ...
