I just don't see the need for it
there are already loads of supporters' trusts which seem like a much, much better idea to me, with real fans owning their club and then electing a chairman and board etc.
As for team selection, you can't do that by a committee of 24,000 people - it has to be done by one man. And if the manager has the authority to override the online or text vote (how else will they do it?), then what's the point in voting in the first place?
