Personally, I think the Hamilton era was more depressing.

I think there's a lot more behind our position now than the more truthful mediocrity of the team back then, I honestly think the performances are down to petulance of the players than lack of talent, with Huckerby at the centre of it. A character like Roeder might win the support of players, I wonder if we'll se a convenient rise up the table if they approve.
