The Sopranos

Series 1 was excellent but can't be enjoyed when watching it again because of how much better later series were.

Series 2 was better and series 3 better still. Series 4 was absolutely magnificent.

Series 5, I thought, was going to be a transitional series, as they wrapped up a few things that'd been hanging and opened a few new threads. Bit of a disappointment overall.

Series 6 was horrible to watch: what had been riveting drama dwindled into no more than an edgy soap. People dealt with their feelings and 'issues' were explored. I lost interest completely after a few episodes, and didn't see the series out.

I note that a series is being advertised on telly at the mo. Is this a rerun of series 6, or did they make a series 7?
