I still say the position that we're in is completely office politics related.

Players don't like Worthington, they stop performing. Worthington is sacked. Players show improvement. Grant is brought in, players play well and scrape relegation. Grant's inexperience and man-management shows. Players don't like him. They stop performing. Grant is sacked. Duffy takes temporary charge. Nobody wants Duffy. They continue to throw games until a manager of experience and quality takes over.

These players aren't poor players, but they're not stupid either. I guarantee it, if Paul Jewell or Peter Reid takes over, the team will suddenly start pulling their weight.

I hope I'm not being naive but as much as the idea of the players throwing matches disgusts me, I sort of hope that's the reason we are where we are.
