Why should they?

No reason at all - except that they have repeatedly said they won't get any back - at one time they likened spending money on NCFC to throwing money onto a bonfire. So it would be interesting to see what would happen if someone called their back.

What have they done for NCFC? Depends how you want to spin it I suppose. Trebled the debt, given us one good season in more than a decade and currently have us in the worst league position in living memory is one way of looking at it.

Interesting to note that the people who actually saved the club - Martin Armstrong, Gordon Bennett and Ray Houseago have been completely airbrushed from history.

Still not to worry - I don't suppose the relegation fight and subsequent promotion push from Division 3 will be at all hampered by "a final £300,000 to pay on the NU stand which will be paid by next year. We also have a £2.55m loan used to pay for the Laurence Scott land which will be repaid by next May".

Years ago Chase made the mistake of spending money on land with the result that we were relegated. Why did anyone think it would be different this time?
