very very few candidates taht will please enough fans to stop the finger pointing.

Safe bets will show no 'ambition'.
Ambitious appointments are, for me, young up and coming guys with little or no experience at this level, hence lables of 'cheap' (and therefore no ambition!).

Few candidates will fill the middle ground of having some experience, looking like they cost to get, and not being considered 'failures'.
