gamble to some extent. There is a certain alchemy involved - ultimately nobody really knows how any appointment would pan out.
There are many many examples of experienced, and previously successful, managers who fail disastrously.
There are equally many examples of inexperienced managers suddenly becoming the hottest property around.
FFS - relax a bit and support the team whatever happens.
