It's been said that since Grant's resignation, Norwich have had over 150 applicants for the vacant managerial position. Applicants including Glenn Roeder, Les Reed, Carlton Palmer, Peter Taylor and surprisingly David O'Leary have all applied and have been already ruled out by the board.
Applicants currently being given more thought include Mike Newell, Martin Allen, Ian Crook and Dave Penney. The board are also considering asking to speak with Steve Tilson of Southend, Paul Ince of MK Dons and Geraint Williams of Colchester.
Joe Royle has apparently ruled himself out of the race, and while Jewell is supposedly "thinking about applying", the Norwich board do not expect him to and have tentatively ruled him out.
