Time to wake up and smell the coffee

Here we go, all the experts decrying the signing on loan of John Hartson. It has been clear for some time that we have a goal scoring problem and that this is currently the biggest issue facing the team rather than the defence although the need for at least another CB is clear.
What do people expect? Can they seriously believe that we are going to get a free scoring forward on loan? Anyone scoring goals regularly are going to be playing first team football not waiting for NCFC to come along to take them on loan FFS.
Hartson will at least put himself about and hopefully make things happen in the box. Cureton has been the disaster I expected (return to a former club rarely works) and Brown can't score ina month of Sundays. Strihavka might but is never played and Martin isn't the great white hope so many thought he was. He has the potential certainly but needs a lot more time and experience to be the answer. So Duffy has gone out and acquired some experience for a few months to try and shake things up and bring about a change.
That's more than Grant achieved so he should be applauded for trying to make something happen rather than the utter bilge and claptrap that so many on here seem to be happy to indulge in.
