why do people go so overboard on players

before they've kicked a ball?

and this goes for praising AND slagging off.

we had the brellier w**kathon when he signed after some youtube videos apparently made him look like the best midfielder in the SPL. it's generally more prudent to take the wait and see approach imo. and watching him play in yellow and green showed me he was dogs**te. but neither did i choose to judge either way before he'd put in some 'performances' for us. maybe he was brillant for them, but moves can make or break players. as seen with peter crouch. and dion has been fairly tidy too.

in short, anyone judging a player before they've seen the goods, need to have a word with themself! there is absolutely no reason for it.
