i agree with your points...

from a certain point of view.. turning to sutton could have been a master stroke but for the injury. dj campbell was the biggest shocker for me that season, hopeless player! leicester paying the money they did for him was far worse! which pouts me off martin allen, was impressed with any of his buys at leicester, back on track though... I agree about grant, and i still maintaine he'll maker a good manager.. and as for cheap option, 100k that west ham owes us from ashton playing for england will has been wiped as "part" of the deal.. so theres probably been cash handed over too, maybe even a first refusal basis on some of our future players.. so to call it a cheap option seems wrong.. and duffy deserves a couple of games to see what he can do so agree there.
