That the Turners will have a voice in the new appointments.

They won't, I don't think, accept a cheap or careless appointment. If they are going to be long term investors, then they are going to want to see some continuity with the managers appointment, that can never be guaranteed, of course, but they'll see an experienced and established name as giving as good a chance as any.

Jewell would be a good choice, maybe they will push for an meeting with him, where-as "little old Norwich" (BT-before Turners) might not even have considered it?
