Weirdly, back in the late 90s, I almost used to wish for relegation

I got so totally fed up with the same old mid-table crap that I figured only relegation could really shake the club up. Plus, I really liked the Swindon side which reversed their slide and cruised to the 2nd Div title in 95/6: surely if they could do it, that's what we would do too, I thought.

Now though, I've realised there's actually no guarantee we'd come straight back up; or even at all. Financially, it'd be a catastrophe scenario, and could even lead to administration. Again though, this is where the Turners and/or Peter Cullum come in: only they can lay the foundations to truly get us out of this mess - and if they're planning to act at all, it's far too big a risk to leave it til we're adrift and heading for League 1.
