Yes, but sometimes a sacking is what is required.

It's tricky because continuity has obvious benefits, but there comes a time when it is difficult to see a way back and a change is needed. I think that is where we are now. The board have some things to answer for, as do the players, but you cannot sack them. Actually, maybe we should, and play the youth team instead!
